- Creating delightful and motivating moments that reinforce behavior
- Building features that support long-term habit formation
- Onboarding & Early Experience
- Designing onboarding flows and first-30-day experiences that reinforce habit formation
- Creating seamless experiences that reduce friction and increase retention
- Community & Engagement
- Designing features that drive connection, motivation, and social reinforcement
- Understanding user psychology around fitness and behavioral change
- Improving core app experiences like:
- Bookmarks
- Foldering
- Search
- Discovery
- Ensuring users can easily find their next workout
Experience & Skills
- Strong UX foundation designing for habit-building, engagement, or behavior change (e.g., Duolingo, Headspace, Fitbit, Calm, etc.).
- UI polish and systems design: Ideally started as a visual or graphic designer before moving into UX/product design.
- Experience working within robust design systems (tokens, variables, design libraries, Figma).
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills able to confidently present work to leadership and communicate rationale from research through final design.
- Portfolio that walks through context, goals, discovery process, and solution rationale, not just final visuals.
- Self-starter, proactive communicator thrives in a lean environment without heavy management layers.

- Strategic communicator excellent at explaining design decisions and connecting them to business metrics.
- Collaborative and approachable comfortable working across disciplines.

- Background in fitness, health, education, or language-learning apps (anything involving behavioral engagement).
- Animation or prototyping skills for high-fidelity demos.
