Job Description:
The Business Systems Analyst will own the administration, governance, and optimization of the Atlassian platform (Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence) while partnering with cross-functional teams to design workflows, automation, and project configurations that support scalable business operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Administer and manage the Atlassian Cloud environment, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
-
Lead a large-scale cleanup and standardization initiative across existing Jira projects and configurations
-
Audit and rationalize schemes, permissions, custom fields, and project configurations
-
Strengthen platform security and governance in collaboration with security teams
-
Design automated provisioning and deprovisioning workflows for access management
-
Configure workflows, request types, automation rules, and integrations to support business processes
-
Partner with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Jira configurations
-
Provide ongoing Atlassian support, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution

Create documentation, governance standards, and configuration runbooks

Develop training resources and enable teams to leverage Atlassian tools effectively

Monitor system usage, licensing, and performance to support platform governance
Requirements:

Must-Haves:

5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Atlassian Administrator, or similar role
-
Deep hands-on experience administering Jira and Jira Service Management at the system level
-
Experience managing projects, schemes, workflows, permissions, custom fields, and automation within Jira
-
Experience leading Atlassian cleanup, migration, or governance initiatives
-
Strong understanding of Atlassian security configuration, including permission schemes and JSM portal access
-
Experience designing workflows and automation aligned with business processes
-
Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to translate technical configurations into clear business-friendly documentation
-
Experience working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities

Startup experience or demonstrated ability to operate in scrappy, high-growth environments

Experience with Atlassian REST APIs, webhooks, or integrations with other business systems

Experience with iPaaS or middleware platforms

Experience building integrations between Atlassian and tools such as identity providers or collaboration platforms
