Job Description:
Senior full stack engineer responsible for building, maintaining, and modernizing a live SaaS platform using .NET technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and maintain full stack features
- Develop backend systems using VB.NET, .NET, and ASP.NET
- Work within a production VB.NET codebase supporting critical workflows
- Build frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
- Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and quality
- Build automations, scripts, and internal tools using AI
- Contribute to modernization efforts and technical debt reduction
Requirements:
- Must-Haves:
- 5–10 years of full stack software engineering experience
- 3 years of recent Microsoft Azure experience
- Strong experience with VB.NET, .NET, and ASP.NET
- Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy VB.NET applications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Experience working in production SaaS environments
- Proven experience shipping production code
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT)
- Strong debugging, system design, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git-based workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, startup-like environments
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with ASP.NET Core
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience with automated testing and QA processes
- Background in vertical SaaS (billing, CRM, scheduling, etc.)
- Experience in small to mid-sized engineering teams
- Familiarity with Bootstrap 3 and 5
