Compliance Analyst

Job Summary
The City Integrity & Grant Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that funded grantees comply with all organizational and donor reporting requirements. This role monitors reporting obligations, tracks submissions, and addresses delinquent or non-compliant reports through structured follow-up, guidance, and escalation as needed. The position emphasizes accountability, transparency, and supportive partnership with grantees operating in diverse international contexts.
Key Responsibilities

Track and monitor reporting requirements for all assigned grantees, including programmatic, financial, and impact reports

Ensure grantee compliance with reporting timelines, formats, and documentation standards

Identify late, incomplete, or non-compliant submissions and initiate follow-up with grantee staff

Maintain communication channels with the donor by providing regular updates and alerting the full program team to reputational and legal concerns regarding grantees

Communicate reporting expectations clearly at grant onboarding and throughout the grant lifecycle

Provide guidance, clarification, and technical assistance to support grantees in meeting reporting obligations

Document compliance status, communications, and corrective actions in grants management systems

Escalate persistent or high-risk non-compliance in accordance with organizational policies, including coordination with grants management, finance, and legal/compliance teams

Ensure grantees achieve timely and accurate grant completion

Prepare compliance summaries, dashboards, and trend analyses for internal leadership and donor reporting

Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates, and processes

Maintain awareness of cultural, legal, and operational differences affecting grantee reporting capacity
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit administration, grants management, compliance, international development, or a related field

Three years experience overseeing grant reporting, compliance, or partner accountability

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey requirements clearly and professionally

Ability to proactively manage deadlines and enforce requirements with diplomacy and consistency

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with international grantees or donor-funded programs

Familiarity with foundation or institutional donor reporting requirements

Experience supporting capacity-building or compliance improvement effort

Experience with Airtable or similar database

Proficiency in Spanish
