Job Description:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for building and tweaking security alerts, enhancing the organization's security posture, and improving SOC operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine security alerts, ensuring optimal monitoring and response.
- Assist with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions and Microsoft 365 security configurations.
- Support SOC operations by evaluating and implementing best practices.
- Assist in onboarding and optimizing new security software.
- Collaborate with vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to maintain security infrastructure.
- Ensure protection of financial data during key business initiatives.
- Work on upcoming projects involving SIEM tools and major security infrastructure changes.
Requirements:

Must-Haves:
- 3-5 years of SOC experience.
- Experience with security (SOC) tools such as Rapid7, LogRhythm
- Strong background in building and refining security alerts.
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions like Symantec Endpoint Protection or Carbon Black.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 security and cloud security (Azure preferred).
- Experience working with vendors and MSPs in a shared security environment.
