Job Description:
Senior-level infrastructure engineer responsible for delivering, deploying, and supporting enterprise virtualization and storage solutions in a client-facing environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi and vCenter environments
- Perform lifecycle management, upgrades, and expansions of Dell VxRail clusters
- Implement and support Dell PowerStore storage solutions, including replication and DR
- Manage Veeam Backup & Replication jobs, restores, and repositories
- Configure and maintain Dell PowerEdge servers (iDRAC, firmware, lifecycle controller)
- Support networking components including VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls
- Lead infrastructure projects independently at customer sites
- Communicate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Travel to customer sites (25–50%) during active project phases
Requirements:
Must-Haves:- 5 years of experience delivering infrastructure engineering projects
- Strong expertise with VMware (ESXi, vCenter, VCF, NSX preferred)
- Experience with Dell PowerStore (or equivalent enterprise storage)
- Hands-on experience with Dell VxRail and PowerEdge servers
- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
- Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, switching, firewall basics)
- Background in MSP, VAR, or consulting environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to obtain VMware certifications (VCP-VCF or VCAP-VCF)
- Experience with Nutanix (AHV/AOS, Prism)
- Hyper-V deployment and migration experience
- Azure IaaS and Microsoft 365 administration
- Cross-platform migration experience (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Azure)
- Dell certifications (PowerStore, PowerEdge, VxRail)
- Experience with co-managed or recurring services models
